@chrisafk Doesn't take very many questions until you find out they actually _do_ care about privacy:
- list all your prescriptions
- what is your bank balance?
- can I post all your DMs on my Web site? -

@chrisafk The people pushing for mass surveillance are the same people who think my mere existence is immoral and illegal.
Yeah no.

@chrisafk Whether or not you're doing something wrong won't be decided by you.
"I don't have anything to hide."
"Do you have anything to protect?" -

So basically everyone who has nothing to hide is saying, "No matter which laws might exist in the future I‘m fine obeying them cause otherwise I do have something to hide

@chrisafk The cameras for specific functions like running red lights and speeding I support only because those behaviors are causing the deaths of more than 20 pedestrians per day in the USA. But they need to be regulated by the state and have total transparency within limits.

"I'm fearing your definition of wrong." -

@chrisafk Been saying this since 2007 if you can believe it, and I was an idiot teen back then.

I'm living in Germany, but if your red caps act like ours, they are sensitive if you mention some targets of surveillance:
- using two parking stalls with one car
- ignore red lights as a pedestrian
- parking on the sidewalk (illegal in Germany)
- drink and drive
- parking in the bike lane
- shouting after hours in the night
- and any form of domestic violence even the slightest form of aggressive talkingI don't know the situation in the US in detail, but in Germany those people are known for breaking rules often, behave like they own the public space, other people, bullying those lower on the social ladder and other typical supremacist behavior.

@chrisafk good point

No one who lives in the USA has any excuse for believing this.
During the Second World War, there were a number of charities set up to help starving Russians. Russia was the USA’s ally against Hitler and the government endorsed and promoted these charities.
During the McCarthy era, having given money to any of these charities was taken as evidence of unamerican, pro-communist, behaviour.
