7. Log off before you escalate. When a thread gets your heart racing, close the app, because you'll type something worse while you're angry and the post will keep until tomorrow if it's worth making in the first place.
as someone who frequently engages with trolls because it's so stupid it's funny (not recommended):
don't feel threatened
these are idiots
they can't bother you if you don't let them in
you engage in good faith. good
but when someone reply guys with bad faith:
code switch
laugh at them
you've removed all of their power
the realm of the troll is simple: entertainment over truth
flip the script and let them entertain *you* rather than they entertaining themselves at your expense
