The reporter may not intend it to be a "gotcha," but in asking the mayor whether he had a message for the Latino community to remain calm and peaceful, he answers perfectly. The potential trap in the question, of course, is victim blaming, and Mayor Johnson is having none of that. He starts out by saying, "They HAVE remained calm."
