@Netraven So far, I've yet to see an example of a false positive being snagged by Gemini's SynthID sniffer (though, granted, I haven't really looked), but they are apparently possible. I wonder if finding such an example would make it easier to see what the sniffer is sniffing for?

@Netraven *scratches chin* Yeah, I think it's one of those things that sound good on the surface, but it has problems. In my case, I worried that it would make people reliant on what they think is sure thing, but it relies entirely on opting in from companies and doesn't help against bad actors who have no interest in transparency or honesty. That doesn't include the sort of problems we've already been seeing with stuff like age verification, which has been twisted for capitalist interests, too.

I found it interesting that on all the panels the birds are flying they are in the "wings open" phase of their flight. My head cannon is that that they've been trained on pictures of birds with their wings open (probably the ones people share the most) so when they fly they open their wings wide and just hover around like this .
