    If you want help with using Mastodon or the wider Fediverse, please feel free to reply, or mention me, or send a message! 🙂

    I'm trying to provide unofficial direct tech support for using this place.

    There is no such thing as a silly question, especially keen to help new or non-technical people who want answers in plain language.

    If you prefer not to ask, you can find lots of help on the website at https://fedi.tips

    @FediTips

    Is it possible to host an instance for a single account or few accounts, and make it discoverable through the wider fediverse?

      @Nuvalon

      Yes, that's what I do 🙂 Lots of people have single user instances.

      If anyone follows you, your posts become visible to their entire server. So, once you've got a few followers from different servers, your posts will show up on all those different servers.

      There's more tips for discoverability at https://fedi.tips/how-do-i-get-more-followers-on-mastodon-and-the-fediverse and more tips for people running a small server at https://fedi.tips/using-relays-to-quickly-expand-a-servers-view-of-the-fediverse

        @FediTips@social.growyourown.services wondering if you know anything about Akkoma’s automatic post deletion behavior. Easy enough to find how to set it up, but unlike Mastodon I don’t see any means of telling Akkoma which posts not to delete. Is that just not possible on Akkoma? Post deletion applies to all posts, regardless if pinned or bookmarked?

          @pluvialgeist

          As far as I can tell Akkoma lacks this feature, there is a request for it at https://akkoma.dev/AkkomaGang/akkoma/issues/447
