Never heard "march of 9's" before but it's bullshit. The challenge of self-driving isn't to program an AV engine for every possible scenario, it's to build one that can deal with scenarios it wasn't programmed for.
They'll never get there from here & this is why it's no wonder; be it chatbots or self-driving cars, the requisite intelligence isn't a problem that can be solved with math.
