I am looking for domain names and can't seem to find out why I cannot request somehtingsomething.social being the .social is not available for anything I look for?
Oh, but I can find it on another provider. I could not seem to find it with doteasy, which I have experience with in the past..

Yeah, if they don't have a particular type of domain on one provider you may well find it elsewhere.
