now that block game's lighting system is done it does kind of scream for a couple of additional things like colored lighting and particularly ambient occlusion
because the indirect lighting is just per block volume (which is why i'm not calling it bounce light, since it doesn't bounce) it'd benefit enormously from an AO occlusion factor that could reduce indirect light strength in crevices and such
but i really wanna move on from lighting so i musn't nerd snipe myself
