Oh, look! It's due to puritanical payment processors! They have far too much power. In a real country with actual free speech, they wouldn't be allowed to dictate terms like they do. It's on purpose. It's their goal. It's religiously motivated. It should be illegal.
Agreed. The problem is that real countries with actual free speech don't have their own payment processors, but is also depending on visa, master card, and stripe.

Also, I asked in the youtube comments but thought it worth repeating here: any good resources for how to actually set up rarebit? Specifically on an already established site? My current one page per post is going to be untenable long term, I think.

Speak for yourself. Brazil does have its own payment method that does not rely on credit card companies (only the respective banks), it is free and somewhat private (banks don't know what you bought, though they will know the transaction) and instant and everyone can use it both for paying and receiving payments.It's not that hard to do. Of course, the US threatened sanctions over it, and there are many other political interests in not replicating or interoperating with this system.

You know what's kinda sad about all of this censorship?
I've had a good question in the youtube comments about what processors I use if I can't use Stripe - and I don't feel safe enough to respond to it, in case I get into trouble somehow and lose those processors too.
So I can't actually openly help people in a similar boat to myself
