Yeah fedi can seem to be quite contradictory.
But the consistent thread for a good time here imo is radical honesty.
This way you'll find what you'd like to see and what not.

To compromise content warnings are often used; most clients offer the option handily with a button in the editor.

Yeah, the crazy thing about content warning is that if you describe why you’re planting it then the filter itself that people use seems to be doing the job better. I don’t know it’s one of those corner cases that filtering words makes a whole lot more sense.
