    @DrALJONES the narrative that should be, and is across the identity access management space, pointed out is
    A human is always accountable for the actions of AI.
    Something the tech-bro's aren't strong on.

    Exactly. In the main, these guys are fascistically, psychopathically averse to accountability (merely a result of psychopathic brain structure). Symptoms:

          This Italian prison sentence for a CEO puts responsibility where it belongs:

          Ultimately, a company's CEO is responsible for its actions and product development.

          That realisation also prevents the appointment of CEOs who have no knowledge about the products or services a company provides, because they can no longer hide behind: "I have people for that. You cannot hold me responsible for what people working for me do or miss."

            Interview: AI is not the threat. It's the people building it "that are the existential risks to humanity."

            "If a bridge collapses, we don’t ever ask, “Was the bridge uncontrollable? Was the bridge unethical?” And really, AI is no different than that."

            When we describe these systems as if they have their own agency, we’re helping the companies market themselves. "We’re also helping them sidestep accountability."

            @DrALJONES It's what Norway's AI Queen Inga Strümke said when asked in a Swedish Television program about AI if she was worried about AI: If you mean "am I worried that AI will take over the world", then no I am not worried about that. But if you mean "am I worried about what humans will use AI to do to other humans", then yes, I am worried about that

                    @DrALJONES The billionaires decide and let others work.
                    But you surely know the term "collaborator" from the Nazi time in Germany?
                    It means that the fascist system only functioned thanks to the masses of people who worked for the leaders. A prison needs guards to work. Billionaires don't do these jobs, they abuse people. And too many do that work!

                    Beside that: Usually, every company has to define responsables. That's law in most Western democracies.

                                    AI is a tool and WE are its makers and fully responsible…

                                      @DrALJONES makes it easier to see it purely as a way to avoid responsibility rather than some kind of real concern

                                        @DrALJONES I mean
                                        what Gebru is saying makes me think that AI companies don't care about anybody's safety (and don't really believe in danger) and are trying to shift responsibility for the damage they cause
