I turned it off, but others might not notice and upload such digitally created images to iNaturalist, where they'd actually impact scientific research
Ugh yes. Every time I just crop a photo I have to say no to "enhancement". S22 Ultra so it's not even a new model. Grrrrr
Not sure what I'm going to do next 🫤

@superball So there is a chance this is just for the iPad, I'm running iOS 18.something on that. Under settings --> camera --> formats --> pick "most compatible" rather than "high efficiency"

@dantheclamman I know this is too much to ask but... Are these "AI enhanced" images going to have EXIF data attached to indicate it has these artificial features have been included? Lots of services that support photo upload strip EXIF data but maybe scientific research could take a peak first so it knows which ones to leave out...

Digital cameras still make photos in raw format. Without filters and ai processing. -
