At least 215 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the start of the assault in October 2023.

On Tuesday, journalist Hassan Eslaih was deliberately targeted and killed while receiving treatment at a hospital in southern Gaza, after surviving a previous Israeli strike.

Eslaih was killed in an Israeli air raid on the burns department at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis.
