@davidaugust Well we could have done something...elected Kamala Harris... (I'm still not convinced she lost - read all the great reporting on Substack from ThisWillHold...weird discrepancies, etc)...but alas...people said it was egg prices (like Trump knows one iota about what groceries cost or cares) but it was really their racist asshole bullshit. I will never EVER forgive any of them!

Collapse is a strong word, agree.
On the other hand we have an overworked controller sending ground traffic across an active runway with jet traffic on short final and a fire crew who apparently aren't primed to look out to the side before crossing an active runway -- all at a major international airport, not some little municipal field.
Not the first incident of this sort since the current administration took a hatchet to federal services and likely again w/out change.
