#OneGoodThing today: we welcomed two new chickens to our household.
-
She had a balance bike, and still I actually got a little annoyed that we could not go faster.
Hitting MIL’s couch later was very good, though.
Those bikes are soo good for children!!!
Couch (and the cake?!?) sounds nice definitely.
Funny with the legs and perceived effort

I'm sure it was a good investment!
My best halvmaraton recovery ever, included walking about 1.5 km to a car afterwards. That extra blood flow did wonders! -
#OneGoodThing today: we went for a long walk in the woods with my sister-in-law and my 3-years old niece. Then we went to my mother-in-law for dinner.
#OneGoodThing today: we went to Greve Museum, which is a tiny museum down the road with cultural history. We went to see an exhibition of attires from Dansk Melody Grand Prix (the national song contest that goes before the Eurovision), but for me the main attraction was an exhibition about the development of the town and the welfare state in the 1960s and 1970s.

#OneGoodThing today: I watched "Toy Story" with my daughter. It's 31 years old, but she was on the edge of her seat for the final 30 minutes, laughed a lot too. She was more engaged than with many new movies.
I've probably watched this movie 25+ times in my life (we had the VHS when I grew up), but it still felt fresh and was ridiculously entertaining. The animation looks old, obviously, but the movie holds up very well. I suggest you go watch it tonight.
"To infinity, and beyond."

#OneGoodThing today: back in class, teaching my course on Innovation in Journalism again. It's fun.

#OneGoodThing today: we had a farewell reception for a great colleague in the sun (her quitting is not a good thing!). It was nice and struck the right balance between solemn and fun, much in the spirit of the departing person. Some other colleagues gave a speech with an AI-hallucinated "interview" with Henrik Cavling (the "godfather" of Danish journalism), and that was simultaneously crazy and hilarious; but you have to have been there, I guess.

#OneGoodThing today: The Minds of 99 released a new single, "9mm". It's not great, but it's good (enough).

#OneGoodThing yesterday: over dinner, I had a very long and very good talk with my daughter about life, the universe, and everything from the perspective of a 12-years old. It was casual and openhearted but also serious, and I think we both learned something and found it delightful; it is rare to really have to kind of time we did yesterday. This kid is alright.

#OneGoodThing today: I continued my journey through the works of Paul Thomas Anderson and rewatched "Punch-Drunk Love". It's a weird film, an Adam Sandler film set in the real world, and it is deeply moving.
I expect I have a mixed bag of works left, but so far PTA can do no wrong.

#OneGoodThing yesterday: I rediscovered the "The Rest is History" podcast. It's great fun and has a nice dynamics between the two hosts, and I learn something.

Great. Looking forward to reading it.
Reach out if you need feedback on an early draft; to the extent that I can find the time, I would love to lend a hand.

#OneGoodThing today: Chris Bennett's book "This Is About Running. This Is Not About Running" arrived in the mail! Bennett is one of my heroes, and I've looked forward to reading this since before it was announced, back when I just thought to myself that he ought to write a book. I cannot wait to dive into this.
Congratulations, @coachbennett. This is a big deal.

#OneGoodThing yesterday: there was a meeting between the teachers and the parents in my daughter's class. Key message: the kids are great, take good care of each other, and learn what they are supposed to. This is always nice to hear. And also, it is nice to be reminded how kind and reasonable the rest of the parents are (most of the time); as the kids become teenagers soon, the trust and honesty we have built will be even more important than now.

#OneGoodThing (actually two) today: I received a new book, fresh from the publisher. It's the collected lyrics of Peter Sommer, who is (IMHO) the best lyricist in current Danish music. I know most of the texts already, but it is good to see them peinted on paper. This looks like a splendid piece of work.
Also, a visiting PhD fellow from Italy arrived at work. She will stay with us for the next three months
#EnGodTing (eller to)

#OneGoodThing yesterday: we made pizzas! I don't know if I'm very good at cooking, but pizzas is one thing I get right almost every time (though my Italian colleague might disagree...).

#OneGoodThing today: it's my wife's birthday. We've just had a nice breakfast, and we'll go to a likely-bonkers-but-it-should-be-good exhibition about Aqua (the pop band) later.
One of my presents for her was a piece of art by Husk Mit Navn ("The Readers"). It's made in only a limited number of copies. She opened the present and just started laughing. Turns out she has bought the same for my birthday in a couple of weeks.
22 years in (and counting), we're still a good match.
