For the record, I have made sure I'm using the exact same Startpage search settings - but the results in Vivaldi are still ads until well below the fold, which is unacceptable to me, and my language setting seems to be ignored as well.

Perhaps @Vivaldi would like to explain themselves.

In any event, a faster load time is not worth this.

I've never seen an ad on Vivaldi.
Settings
Block trackers and ads.
Maybe it's because I'm in Europe though.
I wish Librewolf would sort this out for us, I have to use Vivaldi on the tablet but I prefer using Librewolf on the PC.

@modris @Vivaldi I am in Europe too & I did set up adblocking - if updating Vivaldi, which I did before the test, means having to do that again, that's not cool either...
