@clickhere @ryanjess77 You should perhaps look into the history of your country and see how the English and the Americans treated them.
@kDelta I see you're attempting to dicksplain my own history to me. Don't bother.

BREAKING NEWS! Around 123 countries at the UN have just voted that African enslavement was the biggest crime against humanity. This is an enormous victory for the #reparations movement, led by Ghana.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvg06q36052o@ryanjess77 Yeah but what's anybody going to do about it. Let's hope reparations happen.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvg06q36052o@ryanjess77 The almost extinct Natives around the world, in areas slaves were imported to would like a word with you, but most of them are only spirits now so you need a fucking shaman.

Of course,
voted no against this resolution, but a big group of 52 countries also abstained, mostly from
(and yes, that includes
as well). So much for showing remorse and turning a blind eye against their own history.

@ryanjess77
What I dislike about this resolution is that it solidifies slave trade to the Transatlantic one. At the time, there was still trade of European slaves: mostly Slavs in Crimea, and whatever pirates would capture (regardless of race and religion) in the Mediterranean.That was the norm, and the norm was only changed by people of the West (who some people here so hate) that decided that we are all equal and that people should not be traded.

Since we have a chancellor who did not vote against rape in marriage... Germany has just voted consistently!

@tzafrir @ryanjess77 Oh look, an Israeli defending the transatlantic slave trade and congratulating the perpetrators for eventually being forced to stop hurting the victims. How on brand. Aren’t you supposed to be busy committing genocide?
