Ah ha fruitiness.

In England people used to rent them as table decoration fruit if they could not afford to actually eat them. Now they are often used as symbols on wealthy fencing tops or other signs of colonial fruits. Now people lop off the top and plant them in soil to grow an exotic indoor or outdoor plant...
