@Ask_aubry I used to teach in a (UK) high school. It was noticeable that the 'laddish' boys, the noisy, rude, sporty types who tried to dominate the classroom were despised by the girls. The polite, quiet, respectful boys often had female friends and sometimes they became 'girlfriends'.
