Who am I to diss a Brie?

[felila@mastodon.social]

@donni I recall several recent news articles about cheese thefts. As of whole, very expensive wheels.

You rarely hear bad news about cheese

That's because Big Cheese hires PR firms to scrub the internet of negative cheese commentary, and to bury anything they can't scrub in an avalanche of fake reviews.

@donni

I recall male calves torn away from their mothers and strung up high by their tied feet being ... less fond of cheese, and other dairy products.

But hey ... denialism.

And the industry-conditioned addiction
via bought TV personality chefs.
And the BigPharma profits from the antibiotics needed to minimise disease in awful conditions.
And not to forget, everyone eating it says they are an 'animal lover' etc. They just keep the denial glasses on ‍️

Thankfully there are some amazing plant based cheeses nowadays to enjoy with a clear conscience, and a very happy tummy.

Unless it's those dreaded words, "We have no cheese".

@donni Well, depends where you live. In France, there no one week of an emergency warning about an infected cheese that you shouldn't eat and that you have to throw to the bin...

[octothorpe@mastodon.online]

@donni @lisamelton The only time it’s bad news is when you run out of cheese.
