@CiaraNi Minor nitpick; it's not stone, but thatch, and the structure is made of wood, including the lattices that make up the sails. The sole visible metal part is the red cross-brace at the center, and I am willing to bet there's no stone involved, other than perhaps the foundation, which is not within view

@sindarina Major thing, not minor! I had nothing to go on, so just described what I thought I saw. Thanks, I'll fix it.
(This is a great example of something I've been thinking about as regards writing Alt Text in recent times, since normal web search got ruined - I'll be off to think about, and probably toot about, this.)

Edited again because it turned out I'd spread Fake News in the Fediverse. Thanks to @sindarina for correcting my happy-amateur alt text that claimed that there was stone and metal involved in the windymill.

Alas, schools these days don't teach accurate windymillology.

@CiaraNi Windymill is lovely. In Scotland, standing washing lines are called "whirlygigs", which I also love.

@sindarina @davidtheeviloverlord I love that this is how you immediately knew such specific on-sight details about a traditional windmill. I also love that this is The Knowledge. It feels very Fediversey. Lots of people here have The Knowledge about something very niche and help out and share it when the need arises.
