Per CNN & other mainstream sources, "rioters have lost hands & eyes", as if they did it to themselves, rather than having these injuries inflicted by police violence.

Understand: Almost every single time protests turn into riots, it's in response to police brutality. I don't think I've ever heard of a protest where the intent of the protest itself was to riot. Even that small group with such premeditated intent is highly uncommon.
