    I truly struggle to get excited by the #artemis2 moon mission, but it may be good to know that once in space, the European Service Module provides air, water and propulsion for the mission. So this is a European project as well. Not too many people (even in Europe) have noticed this though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Service_Module

      @bert_hubert
      They have indeed mentioned it several times in their live coverage.

        @65dBnoise I stand corrected! I've updated the post, thank you. I based this on how much work I had to do to confirm the ESM was actually used for Artemis 2.

          Oh, you are right to have assumed that. The way they are praising their own and the Dear Leader, while neglecting crediting others, or maybe doing it in some small print lost somewhere, is characteristic of this administration. But interestingly, not so much of this Artemis mission. They seem to me like good ol' NASA.

              @bert_hubert Funny I feel the same way. Been somewhat of a space geek all my life, my dad's a space geek too. Got a Lego Saturn V on my desk and all, so this _should_ really excite me.

              And yet, somehow: Shrug.

                    @The_Roman @bert_hubert Definitely! It was built by esa (European Space Agency). The construction took place in Bremen, but of course, it is an European achievement! (Greetings from Darmstadt, home of the ESA Control Center.)
