However you feel about gun control, it doesn't take much creative thought to see how an AI nanny baked into your printer's firmware could be misused. Many of these machines have cameras built in these days for example. How do you feel about ICE having control of a camera inside your house?

Maybe that sounds paranoid to some (who haven't been paying attention to things like Ring cameras), but keep in mind, this is a corporation with stockholders. If they can include their code into your net connected machine, then they can update it to upload the camera feed. Now all it takes is someone willing to pay.
Maybe you're printing guns, maybe you're printing dildos, maybe you're just printing figurines of trademarked characters. I'm sure Disney won't expect a licensing fee for that adorable Grogu you just printed for your neice.
