@starluna The public services have their own video call platform called "Visio"
I've used it a few times at school and it works great@ethanbvg Thank you for the explanation. I saw the reference to that and I was confused for a minute because Visio is also a Microsoft product that makes flow charts and things like that.

The whole EU needs to follow.

@Tutanota
I agree with @elduvelleit's a very small part of what should be done.
Far from that, I wait to see which budget will be given for those tasks (and It's quite difficult In France right now on this purpose)there is ONE important move that could be done to explain that France is wishing to leave GAFAM
President Macron could stop communicating on X ( but he doesn't and will not)
last things : should we talk about France dependencies when it comes to cloud ??

Considering that Microsoft products are astonishingly bad, it is about time. Maybe a few decades too late, but this is the second best time.

"France has announced its plan to ditch Windows & switch to Linux for government desktops."
actually, no... they've announced that one of the government agencies / group will be moving to Linux.. not the entire government!
Wizard's first rule: people will believe something because they want to believe it's true...
the entire French government moving to Linux sounds very nice but that doesn't mean it's true! I'd recommend waiting until we have an accurate source that actually says this before getting all excited about it

Few weeks ago I read in paper that some big cities as Toulouse had rejected windows in their administration. Little by little it’s on move but it requires a lot of change and it can’t be done very fast -
