@b9AcE it looks to me like the large explosion is superimposed on top of the previous ones, and similarly with the shockwave which imo arrives too late, and the large explosion too quickly gets (and stays too long) in the more visually striking mushroom cloud state.

The first two smaller explosions look much more like what has been seen in Gaza and Lebanon (and now Iran), but the large one is drastically out of place, and seems like someone was trying to go for something like the Beirut port explosion.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's legit, if so I would expect to see more videos to corroborate it since it was so drastically large

@b9AcE also the explosion sound begins immediately with the large mushroom cloud, but the shockwave doesn't arrive until later

@kworker Hmm. I fucking hate this. Things were so much easier before this was even a possibility, before the "AI" stuff.
I don't know, so I believe I will just delete for now, not because it certainly is inaccurate, but because I can't say for sure.
                Thank you.

I had here a video of an exceptionally major explosion in Tehran, of which there are many confirmed, but this one was called into question so since I can not say for absolute certain if it was a genuine recording, even though through a local source with very good reliability history, I feel I must remove it.

@earthworm Even (potential) failures are good, if handled well.

Personally, I actually consider accounts more reliable if they have an (infrequent) error and not just delete (which not everyone does even) but also issue a public retraction. It requires some self-discipline to shout to the world "Hey everyone! I was [maybe] wrong!", but though my anarchism social context I have had practice in prestige-less interactions... or something, so that helps. 🙂

"Iran deploys troops to Kurdish areas" held by Iran

In addition to what is mentioned in the article, the Hengaw human rights org today also mentioned that the counter-revolutionary military IRGC of the Iran-theocracy has reportedly been sending its troops out into the streets wearing uniforms of the Iran-opposition parties freedom-guerrilla/Peshmerga in the Iran-held part of Kurdistan.

So, some personal speculation if you want it (otherwise... scroll on ;-P):
We can not really know why they do that, but we do know that the greatest hope for the downfall of the mass-murderous regime was before the war and still remains with the widely supported opposition militias, not with other States' wars to impose their own rulers against the people, so the regime may be and should be fearing that PJAK, etc decide to do a major push for self-liberation for all the people under the Iran-regime because they would have general public support, while switching to a monarchy from a theocracy barely changing has much less support internally so the regime probably envisions hope of return in such a scenario.

Bombardment unleashes terror in Tehran with no sign of protests

Terrified residents of Iran's capital described it as a ghost town on Tuesday, its streets largely emptied by a U.S.-Israeli missile barrage apart from security checkpoints and Revolutionary Guards patrols that rove the city.

The airstrikes have killed hundreds of Iranians since Saturday while Israeli and U.S. leaders have voiced hopes they would trigger an uprising, but Reuters found no evidence one was imminent in phone conversations with people around the country.

"Bomb damage at Iran's Evin prison raises fears for detained Britons, family says"

Sure. But also... likely over 15000 prisoners, just in Evin Prison, at northern edge of Tehran, being also the primary prison where the Iran-theocracy primarily imprisons political prisoners for being leftist, feminist, union organizer, participant in "Women! Life! Freedom!"-protests, non-segregated public dancing for New Years celebrations, or for having the "wrong" beliefs such as Baha'i, Sunni, Christian, Zoroastrian, etc, at the over-capacity huge prison built to hold 15000.

The previous time Trumpanyahu chose to go to war in Iran they actually bombed the prison killing 80, plus forcing dispersal to other prisons then even more overcrowded so people had to sleep packed like sardines, lost contact with families, etc, continuing to have aftereffects actually still now.

Oh, those minorities that you, Reza, just a few days ago said the army of Iran should be used against, before you even have been granted control over it by Trump and Netanyahu? Those?
You can just keep fucking off, please.
