I'm from a carnivore culture and I have much blood on my hands. No pride here.
Rather than activism, I decided that I can cook my redemption. It gives me great joy to cook a vegan meal for non-vegans and have nobody notice the missing animal protein.
Similar to walking outside and suddenly the breathing becomes easier because of the fresh air, the lift of a heavy conscience, without even mentioning it, makes the meal more wholesome and kind. Just wonderful
