Other than "human interaction needed" or "canceling out traffic noise and blocking the full path by rollerskating left/right/left/right oblivious to everything" I see no problem. Still, I find it a pity if you don't hear the birds, the wind in the leaves in the forest... but that's your problem. -

The nearest green space is half a kilometer away across two traffic-bearing roads. (There are crossing places: not the point, though.)

Get rid of open-plan offices, allow work from home when possible, and impose strict noise and emissions limits on vehicles - including stereo systems. More public transportation/less traffic. More parks.

@cstross I partially agree. Yes, the 90dB noise sucks, but being able to hear what traffic does or tries to warn you about is life saving. Been there. Survived, thanks to someone being more aware of that traffic I was.
