Too many victims of domestic abuse, calling for help from the emergency services are arrested themselves, either because police believe their abusers not them, or because in a distressed state they are accused of assaulting emergency service workers.
To say that we are still not getting it anywhere near right on domestic abuse is an under-statement - too often abusers are effectively being colluded with.
This needs to change!
