(down here in New Orleans i remember pointing this out in the early 1980s, now one of these useless boondoggles is 40 years old & aging beyond its expected life span in a regulatory environment that does not respect human life, esp. the life of the ordinary people of Louisiana)

We waste billions on the military each year (more than the next 10 nations combined) and it's destroying our competitive advantage. Congress won't say No for two reasons: "Jobs" & being accused of being "weak on Defense".If we ordered the Defense Industry to build Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, etc instead of bombs, they'd make just as much money & not lose any jobs.
Claims of being "weak on Defense" probably wouldn't hurt any #Democrats either after this disaster of a presidency.
