@nuintari @mike Oh, not *every* bit of intellectual property, though; ask one of the big LLMs to make something involving a copyrighted character owned by a huge corporation and you’ll be blocked, because as with everything else it’s “protection for me, not for thee”. And that might be the thing about them that pisses me off the most: the utter hypocrisy. They vacuum up every bit of content they can find, while simultaneously screaming “INFRINGEMENT” if you dare do the same.

@nuintari I drove past the two Montgomery County hyperscale data center projects in central Missouri about a month ago. Both projects take up one square mile of prime farm land. I was completely stunned by the size and scale when I drove by them on the Interstate for the first time. When it takes nearly a minute to go past them at 70 MPH, something is definitely wrong. I think a lot of people just can't comprehend the scale of these massive projects.

@nuintari I've had to tell 2 coworkers to never send me advice or suggestions based on LLM output. These two have each done this a couple of times and both times it was complete garbage that wasted my time. I'm also having some success getting my 10 year old nephew to realize they are a waste of his time.

Over the past few decades humanity has taken so many steps to take humanity out of society and now this which is many magnitudes worse than whatever came before it. Millions of people just go along with it and I am extremely worried what this is doing to us, as individuals and as a society.

@nuintari I've spent years honing my craft as a writer and artist and to now see it being stolen, copied and me being accused of using AI. It's tough and many creators are just at a point of despair. Even the relatively small ones like myself.

And recently the PISA results (international student assessment) shows students scoring lower on so many level the world over and what do we do? We make it even worse.

It's just insanity.
