Data is measurement. I'm a carpenter by training & that's why I came out critical all the way back around Big Data, some 20 years ago.
As a craftsman you know that measurements are only useful *if they're useful*; just running around measuring everything in the hopes of finding a use for it later is idiotic.
- and yet here we are, the world's economy teetering on somebody still doing that & nobody questioning it.
Future history will not be kind.
