it possibly was, but we did not buy it for that, it was bought to cut bread.... the instructions were behind a cardboard cover... heyho...

@alexlac51 To be honest, it makes perfect sense because if you're going to chop food on your soft furnishings, you can't expect them to be in a re-saleable condition when you complain about 'damage'!
