Hi there.

Hi there. For those who need it, I designed this "No smart glasses allowed" icon, free to use, no attribution required, as public domain. The zip file contains the icon in multiple pixel and vector formats (png, jpg, eps, svg and PDF), both colour and b&w. If anyone needs it on any other format, feel free to ask.

@danielgibert I was walking through the local mall yesterday when I saw a sunglasses shop advertising Meta's Ray-Bans on a 3M high video screen.. I was going to go get my molotov cocktails but Wifeski stopped me..

@danielgibert Nice! I think most circular "disallowed" signs have the disallowed thing _behind_ the diagonal bar, though. (See example

Und wie sähe die Botschaft "Kein Wifi für Brille tragende Personen" aus?

@danielgibert Looks cool! Small nitpick: I am pretty sure diagonal should be mirrorred
Yes. Its normally a 'bar sinistris', but it works either way.

@danielgibert thanks for this. I anticipate this being an issue in my high school classes this year. And I like the design.

Und wie sähe die Botschaft "Kein Wifi für Brille tragende Personen" aus?
@freistern @danielgibert
etwa so? (mal grob aus Grafiken aus dem Internet zusammengeschustert) -
@steltenpower I tried and tried, but the diagonal keep making it difficult to identify it as glasses as it covered the nose bridge, even with the glasses on perspective, so it is a compromise solution.
An issue clearly seen in the black and white version, where the frame is outlined at the nose bridge.

@danielgibert I just tried to picture going a decade back in time and trying to explain this to someone.
@CyReVolt @danielgibert The first Google Glass was announced in 2012, which is 14 years ago. So unfortunately, explaining this would be relatively easy.

Und wie sähe die Botschaft "Kein Wifi für Brille tragende Personen" aus?
@freistern @danielgibert Viele (normale) Brillenträger nutzen ein Smartphone mit Wifi, das passt also nicht.
-
If smart glasses see a QR code, will it automatically open it and provide information about the QR code?
Eg link to www.NoPervertGlasses.con ?
I like this idea!

@danielgibert can you do one with those glasses and a Monty Python Foot stomping down on them?

@nicole4fox @danielgibert I agree, much as I appreciate the effort I fear it doesn't stand out as smart glasses. The white 'dot' on both sides also doesn't help. If it was only on the left it would stronger signal it's a camera.
Designers for the Noun Project have several examples which, to me, would be easier to understand from a distance.
That said, anyone making the effort should be applauded and I hope we see signs like this popup everywhere (because we don't have enough clutter yet, but it's necessary).
@thisislieven @nicole4fox @danielgibert possible zooming in to show wifi, single lens and bridge would be clearer?
