Looks I have about 28 people who follow me that currently live on mastodon.cloud. The moderators and admins of Fosstodon have decided they're going to defederate from this instance because it's unmoderated. The admin(s) have been inactive for ~3 years and the software is out of date. Because it's got open registration and no moderation, it's being used by less scrupulous individuals for spam and other not to be mentioned material. If at all possible, please move to a maintained server. Please.

@mike just curious how you know. I use a client that doesn't seem to give any info about followers or even who I am following. At least I don't see it. I forget what it is called... Oh tusky I think. Do you have to scrape logs?

@msokolov I have a python script that pulls it from the API. It's kinda annoying because pulling any significant number of followers maxes your quota pretty quickly, but there's built in pauses to get around that. It just takes a while to run.
