    ‘Instagram has been running paid adverts promoting child sexual abuse material in India, a BBC Eye investigation has found. (…)

    Ads on Instagram are only published after first being approved by its moderation technology.
    When the BBC reported one of the ads to Instagram, the social media platform responded 24 hours later saying the post did not violate its "community guidelines".’

            @Frederik_Borgesius Years ago, when I was on Facebook, there was this spanish guy whose mission was to uncover paedophile's accounts.
            Guess whose account was blocked by Meta??
            They are all in the same club. The Epstein Club.
            Erase your accounts in #Meta (including whatsapp). It's not worth it to support these monsters.

              @Frederik_Borgesius
              Meta later told the BBC that "no system is perfect, and our review process may not detect all policy violations".

              Meta can afford to employ, say a million, human reviewers of content rather than using "AI". Which may go a long way to fixing this issue worldwide. Same for all social media systems. "AI" has no morality, does not understand the reasons for policy at a human level.

                @Frederik_Borgesius So, this is the company (one of them) and technology that EU politicians will trust scanning private messages for CSAM material? 😛
