@pixelfed I am a bit confused by the wording here.

"We are not accepting any AI or agentic code contributions" is very different to "[...]contributions that are substantially generated by generative AI or large language models will not be accepted"

Is the intention that these two statements have the same interpretation?

@winterknell @timaeus @pixelfed Even more recently, decades of F/OSS projects riding on the trust that contributions are made in good faith and compliant with projects' licences documents that too.

When someone gets to a point where "we can't expect people to embrace the shared values our community is built on" (whether a F/OSS licence or a requirement that people contribute their own work) is the justification for not having shared values, what is it that they feel like they're defending?
