@FediTips I always wondered what etiquette is on fedi. Like I would shyly do "Hey you can look at @ feditips @ social ----" instead of doing direct mention. Or direct mention is fine? It's rare but if I find someone I can help out then I do lead them to your website. Thanks for making place where people can look up for quick help. Also eased my migration process as it's looked lot harder and one way ish~ then it is really.

Usually mentions are fine in general, I don't think most people are bothered by them unless it's spam? As long as there's a good non-abusive reason why someone is being mentioned it's usually okay.
