hm, i thought KDE was trying to make up for platforming the nazi. lots of people today saying "let's give KDE a chance!"
nope, they're now doubling down further.
this post is a study in the art of nazi apologetics in online discourse - removing the content of the issue and leaving only a description phrased to sound innocent.
what happened is that the straight-up nazi was posting, someone identified that this person was a straight-up nazi, the nazi admitted they were that nazi, then KDE banned the person calling out the nazi and kept the nazi
KDE *later* banned the nazi - after public outrage at KDE's behaviour - but the person who called the nazi out is still banned
the social media person sympathising here with the nazi tries to claim that calling out the nazi is equivalent to real world violence.
This is definitely a "it's worse to call someone a racist than be a racist" type of mentality, an attempt at tone policing, etc.

i'd say it's especially worrying that under the thread saying KDE does not harbor fascists someone who's somewhat associated with KDE (even referring to KDE as "we") not considering DHH a fascist is a worrying sign.
but then i reminded myself that they didn't say they don't harbor fascists, but that they don't harbor "fascists", with the scare quotes. -
