@benroyce @fruchti I guessed the "this looks so cool OMFG I need one!!!" community, which will quickly become the "wait, it doesn't actually do anything I need and needs to be constantly taken apart and cleaned because dirt got into it through all those openings and it's broken 99% of the time so I took the horns off to get it through the door and now it's a conversation piece in my living room or rusting in my garage" community.

The basic centaur shape makes sense. Four legs for stability combined with an upright posture for visibility. It's the facial features that are creepy.

Practicality has nothing to do with it. Buy 4! When visitor's ask, make a joke about the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Bask in their befuddlement

This "Three Halves" robot gave me a very strong hit of, "This is an art project with distinct Dadaist and between-the-2-World-Wars pacifist vibes," Ben.
Dystopian times birth dystopian art, in my opinion.
I, for one, think we're being punked very cleverly by someone with a sense of humor that aligns very nicely with my own -- right down to the Baphomet head.

so we can say it's not manufactured and fake provocation, this is the dude's real deal
i would also entertain the notion he is completely authentic: he is not trying to get a reaction from us, that he sincerely believes he is delivering an honest product
so it's tongue-in-cheek art project or sincere work of a bizarre dude. but we both agree it's not fake bizarreness for the sake of media drama

@benroyce They really did themselves a disservice with the looks of it. This should be slapped with all the firefight department logos. And get rid of the damn horns. Other than that, it might actually be a pretty cool robot. Provided it works.
