Edwin mentioned in order to pull in the signal, the tv had to be 18 or younger, but now that I think about it, I guess even if there was an "adapter" of sorts the tv wouldn't work.

They are called “ATSC Converter boxes” or digital-to-analog converter boxes.

Almost every channel I know of ran an advert when did the analog (NTSC) to digital (ATSC) conversion in 2011, and mentioned them

P.S.: I said 18 years because I’m sure those TV support digital signals, older LCDs might as well… I just don’t know.

We were using a digital antenna with an OTA PVR that connected to the TV via HDMI but that's in storage now, as we've gone all ROKU or computer sourced TV, but that setup should work with any TV with an HDMI input

I use SiliconDust HDHomeRun, which put the TV signal onto your home’s network (cost me $120 back in 2011 IIRC)

Other brands do exist, most using USB.
