what happens to these mosaics after they are uncovered, photographed and documented? are they turned back over to the property owners to be destroyed while continuing construction? are they removed somehow?

Also raises the question of why the ancient Bretons didn't destroy it. Maybe they used it.There are a lot all over Western Europe. Why do people have to destroy them??? Just let things as they are, they will will be covered by grass in months and protected for 1.5 to 2 milleniums. People are probably already busy, why lose time and energy at destroying things? Which benefits???
