Capitalism is cancer and corporations and billionaires are its tumours.
And the most successful among us are those gainfully employed to tend to the largest tumours.
Unless we fundamentally change this system, we can’t fix any of the existential threats facing us.
Humanity has cancer and we’re celebrating tumour growth instead of taking immediate and decisive action to rid ourselves of the disease.

My dear friend, why are you ignoring me? I'm sorry to bother you; I didn't know you were upset with me, but my pregnant wife is in the hospital and needs expensive treatment. Please be the reason.

My friend I message you every day and haven't heard anything back. Please, my pregnant wife is dying. A quote from you is our only hope. I swear, my wife and her baby are dying. Save me, brother. Enough ignoring me.

Hello my dear friend, I hope you understand my situation. My wife's condition is worsening and I haven't received any help. Please, the hospital fees are increasing and I haven't done anything. $67 is my only hope, my friend. I hope you understand and don't say no, please.

@aral It wasn't always this bad. It was bad, yes, but not THIS BAD.
We let the oligarchs take over when we de-regulated and effectively un-taxed the rich and large corporate entities in exchange for the promise of jobs. The focus was never jobs. That's not capitalism's goal. Money is.
I keep saying that we can fix most of the issues we're having as a society through legislation, but instead we worship at the feet of the oligarch, the same thing we have done over and over again.
