Switching to #Linux, I'm having a hard time finding a good (tolerable, even) #Mastodon client to replace @ivory.

@kimschulz to clarify what I meant by timeline sync: a client that remembers where last looked in my timeline and keeps track of new posts. I don't want the feed(s) to automatically jump to the latest post, just quietly load them and keep track of how many posts I have yet to read. Does that make sense? Having used Ivory for so long this behavior is so completely ingrained in me.

@daniel I beleive that both Sengi and Tuba has that.

@kimschulz @daniel about a year ago I tried both and neither did this reliably back then at least.
I've not found a really good Mastodon client for Linux, https://phanpy.social/ is okay for use in browser but even that doesn't come close to the Ivory flow

@gedankenstuecke @kimschulz the more I think about it, it's probably also the syncing between devices, specifically my iPhone, that I lack. That is, the ability to jump between desktop and phone, and pick up where I left my feed.
Oh well, no one said leaving big tech was going to be easy
