    - and you can cut at 45 seconds after that and hopefully maintain some kind of sanity.

There are a few things in this whole debacle that have left me scratching my head a bit, but perhaps someone can explain it to me and clear things up somewhat.

First, as far as I can tell, there was little reason for the US to go all terminator on Iran, instead of simply continuing the talks that were already underway. There were rumors about nuclear capabilities, but I have not seen anything that would substantiate that, and it quickly faded as a possible reason for the attack.

    So, why, then?

    Well, who benefits from this?

Donald Trump? Well, yes, to some extent, because there is not much talk about the Epstein files now, but to be honest, that is almost certainly just a short reprieve -we will get back to them, once things cool down.

Russian economy? Very much so, yes, because their oil suddenly became a lot more valuable, and Russia is in dire needs of some war funding.

Russian war efforts in Ukraine? Yes and no. The supply of Shaheed drones from Iran must have dried up somewhat by now, but on the other hand, so has the supply of Patriot missiles that European countries are buying from the US and donating to Ukraine, so that is probably a zero sum outcome.
