Seriously, we have to stop treating capitalism like a force of nature.
"Allende tried to reform Chile but foreign business interests didn't like that, so Allende ruined the Chilean economy" - no, rich people in mostly other countries ruined the economy, on purpose, to prevent the rise of a society they didn't agree with.
We have to not only stop accepting this framing, but actively call it out every single time.
