Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon
A friend built mine and it was in a wooden box. -
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon black with a rainbow, and rubber keys!
Modern PCs should have more rainbows!

-
@Em0nM4stodon Ti-99/4a
@numbercrow @Em0nM4stodon mine was silver and black, but I know there was a beige version
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon it had a rainbow though
-
@haitchfive @Em0nM4stodon same! Well, TS-1000 version.
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon An Atari 1040ST (FM) for which I later got the colour monitor.

@teapot_ben Agreed

-
@haitchfive @Em0nM4stodon same! Well, TS-1000 version.
@ozdreaming @Em0nM4stodon Same in spirit is what matters

-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon I voted beige, as that was the computer I learned how to use computers on.
The first one I owned myself (when I moved to college) was white.
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon The first one I *owned* was black (a Spectrum). The first one I *used* was white (a ZX80).
-
I remember this monitor but I'm certain it was a tower. 1995 or 6 HP Pavillion with Windows 95. I still remember the day my Dad got it all set up and turned it on and being so excited. I had pretty much no reason to use a computer at that age but seeing some of the games and watching him connect to AOL was enough to make it a core memory.
@cosmic_gorilla @Em0nM4stodon we had a gateway tower with almost the same monitor and speaker configuration, I remember playing Outlaws on it, a sprite based shooter and it lee to begging my mom to get me a used computer I could rebuild. The rebuilt PC had a green and white monitor, pretty sure it came from a bank
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon Beige. And my second. And my third... I lose track somewhere, but probably about six or seven, until my first Freecycled laptop without a hard drive (at first). So that's about... '78 to '05 or so?
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon black but not the period you're probably thinking of... It was an early 1980s ZX81.
Second was a lovely dark grey Amstrad CPC464. Only after that started the series of beige, beige, beige, beige, black (still have) desktop PCs, black netbook, white laptop, dark blue laptop, metallic green laptop
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon @alterelefant A warm dark grey: a Schneider CPC464.
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon Lime. (an iMac G3)
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange

-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon
TI99-4A, I don't remember the colour.
We ran a simulacrum of Pacman on it, and that's about all. -
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon @phlash My first computer was an Olivetti 286. It was grey.
-
Which color was your first computer?

@Em0nM4stodon not this one but same model even same weirdly small monitor. The basic had computed gosubs and arrays such that I was able to write recursive code. Possibly my favorite code ever was a math expression parser that knew about complex numbers. And filling the 8k with digits of pi and e, using assembly. I couldn't view or use the digits but they were there. BCD for e at least.
-
Which color was your first computer?

Brass, with mahogany end cheeks.
