@sundogplanets thanks sent these to my granddaughter as well. We take her to see the goats in Victoria every time we’re down there. Here we just walk along a trail and there’s goats, calves, horses a donkey…

Goat morning. The slightly older baby goats managed to walk all the way to the daytime pen from the barn without me carrying them, but required multiple eating breaks along the way.
I love a "chaos of baby goats"!

@sundogplanets So, goats have these really interesting vocalizations, and it got me wondering: Can you tell your goats apart by their voice alone?
@Legit_Spaghetti There are 3 or 4 of them in the herd who have very unique voices, and I can definitely recognize them. But many of them sound nearly exactly the same (to me, the babies can for sure tell who their mama is, and vice versa!)

@Bwacton I also visited the Victoria goat zoo when I was in goat withdrawal while I was travelling! A lovely place. (I don't miss having to worry about hoof rot when we had goats in that climate though. Lots of things to worry about raising goats in Saskatchewan, but hoof rot is not one of them!)

I counted up 10 baby goats in 2 snuggle piles. Could not find baby goat number 11, who is just about 24 hours old at this point. I was getting increasingly frantic trying to find him, when I checked more carefully next to his mama.
It's really impressive what a tiny space a 1 day old baby goat can fit into (he was totally fine and warm and happy). Try to spot him!
