In every month, the last sunday ist DIDay in Germany. So, everyone who switched something from big US to Open Source, European stuff or else can brag about it on social media
The tags are #didit or #dutgemacht. A very good idea of the wonderful writer Marc-Uwe Kling and others which is gaining momentum here 🩵FanF...Fabulous!

Wassup international friends. If you interact with Danes on Mastodon you'll see a lot of posts with the hashtag #DanmarkSkifter It means "Denmark Switches". It's people encouraging each others to switch away from US-tech.
So, I don't know about your local initiatives in this regard, but know that you are not alone. Danes are trying to switch, too.
@SuneAuken I am from the US, and I _strongly_ recommend nearly all people embrace this #DanmarkSkifter concept.

@SuneAuken in Germany we have the https://di.day initiative which is encouraging people to switch. The idea is to make Every first Sunday of each month a day of switching and provide guidance and alternatives.

I love that multiple initiatives exist.
