@jacadamia @pluralistic Great book! Masto is a place where you get what you put in. Make sure to follow hashtags for your interests and be open to sharing what interests you to spark discussion!

Welcome. Here's the rules:
1. You can easily block people, just view their profile and click the hamburger menu on the right – use it freely and often
2. Following people is easy too, as is unfollowing them – do it freely and often
3. Most people start on mastodon.social, but you'll probably have a better time if you find a smaller instance full of people you like and switch to it
4. You must add alt-text to images
5. Actually, I'm lying – there are no rules
